Overview of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) Program
Posted 25 April 2011

This webpage contains information that is no longer current, but can be used for obtaining historical information regarding the LSRP program.

Did you know that ALL responsible parties of contaminated sites now have an affirmative obligation to cleanup their sites AND must do so in accordance with established Regulatory and Mandatory Timeframes?

If you are a property owner, municipality, school, or other entity in any way responsible for the cleanup of a contaminated site you should familiarize yourself with the legislation known as the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA, N.J.S.A. 58:10C) and the corresponding regulations known as the Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (ARRCS, N.J.A.C. 7:26C). This legislation established a new class of environmental consultant, the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP). The LSRP program is being phased in and significantly changes the way cleanups are conducted in New Jersey. The transition to the new paradigm of remediation will be fully implemented as of May 2012.

In order to help you understand the fundamentals, the Overview of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) Program document, quick reference guide, and Power Point presentation are provided below for your information and use.

This is one of many outreach initiatives being implemented by the SRP to inform the public and regulated community about SRRA and we hope that you find this information valuable.
